We have introduced Chinese classic songs last time. As we know, classic songs are varied in styles and each song has its own memorizing story. Let’s read the story behind three songs below. And which music is great will be told.

A Chinese Classic Song by Lijian—If Love is God’s Will: A Tale in Grand Movie

I have never thought that I would hear If Love is God’s Will, a song by LiJian., in this way. The song has been big in the news since it was performed in I am A Singer in the beginning of the year, and it is on behalf of “Tsinghua brother”’s good taste, exposing that our charming idol is not only cute and sly but also addicted to Korean dramas. The same name TV series, published 12 years ago, is popular again for the performance. Months later. The Crossing: The Other Side—a romantic movie directed by YuSen Wu, chose If Love is God’s Will as a promotional song wisely.

Movie and music, actors and singers, both have indivisible connection with each other in works. Masterpiece can be created with their cooperation. However, it is a pity that we still have to suffer from addicting to entertainment and putting the cart before a horse now though we are not living in a tumultuous time as the hardship scene in The Crossing: The Other Side. Excellent works are criticized because of their imperfection. Rather, works in poor quality get success in an oversimplified, crude and opportunistic way.

It is just as enthusiastic marketing of cine-music: advertising songs, theme songs, ending songs and episodes in a movie can be various but totally unrelated to the movie since it is put on till it is left the theaters. Fortunately, we finally meet a perfect pair that the song If Love is God’s Will is suitable with the movie The Crossing: The Other Side.

It is much more amazing that the pair is not designed deliberately. As we all know, tune of If Love is God’s Will is drew after a song in a Korean film published years ago. As for the lyrics, a great of inspiration burst out and the lyrics came into being by LiJian when he participated in I am A Singer. The creation born in different time and space strikes a sympathetic chord with tumultuous scenes in The Crossing: The Other Side magically. Having not watched the first part of The Crossing, I am not going to appraise quality of the second part in my own opinion optionally.

But it was quite touching when I firstly watched its music video which mixed the scenes in the movie. The video is performed by icons from different countries such as Zhang Ziyi, Kaneshiro, Song Hye-kyo, and Nagasawa Masami, etc. A romantic story plays a role as the principal line and the fierce war which Wu Yusen is skilled acts as background. Each role acts plots giving us a heart quake. They are pursuing the love with gratification even though they are living in a turbulent world.

Such perfect cooperation should be hard to come by. It is obvious that the team behind the work comprehends what kind of comparable connection is between LiJian and Wu Yusen—The Lonely Persistence. In the team ShuiMuNianHua that sings Life with You in Tsinghua campus, till a poet-musician freely, and a charming man praising by nationals, LiJian experiences a colorful life.

There is no doubt that he still refuses to meet the demand of entertainment addiction and he is still as pure as a child. Every time we listen to his songs, no matter whether they are his self-production or cover version, we can still feel his peace, which is looking forward to rainbow with a shining smile after a violent storm and a fierce hurricane, but not inexperienced innocence.

He fills the song If Love is God’s Will with his pure heart, singing it as a romantic tale. Or, we can also say that the love songs of LiJian are always touching and determining. Moreover, they have the same sympathetic theme as Wu Yusen’s loving legend in turbulent time though they are only small tales. It is no matter whether there are magnificent scenes. It is just as that Lijian explains the song elegantly in I am A Singer. It is just as that Lijian expresses its tale tactfully in I am A Singer.

As I am concerned, Lijian’s voice is pure as water, melodious as stream and roaring as sea. It is soft but strong. Either the song or the music video, they are full with emotional sincerity. As the coming movie, we are ought to just glance over the gorgeous scenes and meet characters deep in the heart so that we can feel the longingly beautiful about love.

From "Drunk And Sing Songs In The Grassland"– chinese classic songs,to hear our voices

In recent years, the Chinese music has gradually lost its own voice, which is not belonging to the United States and the United States but great and unique to the nation. It is because of new singers like Ji Ya that the Chinese classical songs have gradually come back to life and vitality.

Since the Grassland Wind Blew in 2015, the young singer Ji Ya has brought the latest masterpiece "Drunk And Sing Songs In The Grassland".If the former is a tentative fusion of the national elements represented by the grassland and the popular electric sound, the latter is a bold adventure, which completely breaks up the elements and recombination them.

Han Bing, the gold medalist, helps the song show the male voice of multiple ,RAP and amorous feelings with high pitched female voice. It's easy to think of Phoenix Legend. But Ji Ya’s high pitched voice is very different from Ling Hua,which is free and misty without losing strength and recognition.Strictly speaking, it doesn't belong to the city.

“ The wind is rising and the clouds is flying in the vast sky/The grassland is always my hometown/The wind is rising the clouds is flying in the vast sky/Thousand miles of the ranch and dream without borders/It's heaven on earth”,Ji Ya’song is unique of local culture and full of fashion sense in the atmosphere of electronic dance .She is standing at the end of the city looking for home. Suddenly remembers the distance and looks back to the hometown. This feeling of distance brought by homesickness brings tension, doing the best foreshadowing of the song's emotional stretch.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first song for the new couple Ji Ya.While the male voice that collides with Ji Ya is also the composer and arranger of this work, it is the famous musician Han Bing who has been working with him since the beginning."Drunk and sing love songs in the prairie, " is integrated into the human long rap, etc, which links fashion elements and national elements with a brand new phenomenon of beauty.

As mentioned above, when the foreign culture in the pop music firmly grasps the right of Mandarin, a lot of national culture has needed to be rescued. In music,or like the wild child, the band Shanren going to folk rock, or like the  Hanggai band music going to the world , but in the end, it is always the elite culture, which belongs to the small group, rather than the mass culture. And as a representative singer of the new generation, Ji Ya has no historical burden and has the possibility of looking for cultural expression, which is the best fit for the present society.

In fact, after the northwest wind of the 1980s, the people and works are not uncommon, which combines local folk or traditional elements with pop music, like Teng Ko Erh and the wolf wolf band, Han Hong, Sa Dingding, Tan Weiwei and so on.But the most successful one is Dao Lang, who is despised by mainstream critics ten years ago.

But time has proved that, compared to many works that only have no slogan.Dao Lang spreads more elements of nation and tradition through his work.In the new exploration of music,Han Bing and Ji Ya appropriately find a balance between the masses and the art, which are pleasing to the ear, but only to those who know it.

At present, electronic dance has become the hottest trend in the world of music.Under this background,Jiya offers a shiny sample "drunk and sing love songs in the prairie ",which not be eliminated by the time but also reflect the current mood.

From Back to Lhasa to Wind Horse, ZhengJun Persists in Pure Ideal in 21 Years.

ZhengJun published his new song Wind Horse in the summer in 2015. It is one of chinese classic songs taking Tibetan culture as background. Some people will think of XuWei’s new song Triode. But more will think of the song—Back to Lhasa, which has given the rock song circles an earthquake 21 years ago.

As for song circles in China, 1994 is a grand and magnificent time. All kinds of music were born rapidly. Most of classic symbols appeared such as Campus folk, the Generation and Red Star Production Club, etc. Moreover, in this year, we remembered a man—-ZhengJun.

ZhengJun was enthusiastic 21 years ago. He would like to pursue freedom. Some praised, but some criticized. A singer is always suffered from two-sided estimation. Although he was rock and rebellion in appearance, Lyrics in Back to Lhasa still revealed his pure insistence toward music.

To make a rock singer popular was just like making an App 21 years ago. It was quite easy so that ZhengJun became a heating icon and had great influence on Chinese rock music.

Since then, ZhengJun turned into an idol in an international music company after being a rock singer. His works were more approached to internationality. He won a chance to perform in Hongkong, covering a song Meteor of Coldplay, becoming a rock spokesman in China. However, people were doubtful whether he was happy when heard of his amazing speech several times. People were wondering how long the talented man could insist with his pure ideal.

In 2003, when we met ZhengJun, he had abandoned cooperation with record company but produced works himself. He brought a cover album which covered classic songs and popular songs. All the songs were reborn by his incomparable opinions. However, the public was more focus on his marriage and his 4-year-old daughter.

Elopement must be the most famous work in his later period thanks to The Good Voice. What a pity that chinese classic songs become welcomed because of the TV programs! After ChangAnChangAn, ZhengJun hasn’t published a song for 7 years but turned to entertainment areas such as marriage crisis, making films and participating TV programs. People would like to contrast ZhengJun with WangFeng and XuWei. Most of them praise XuWei but criticize WangFeng.

Refer to ZhengJun, they separate into two sides. ZhengJun’s persistent in music is incomparable but ZhengJun who abandons rock is more entertained than others as well. The contribution of Wang's,XU’s and Zheng’s can’t be forgot because they have their own pursuit and attitude which just can be judged as success or failure but not better or not. To be honest, they have got what they want in a career. And it should not be discussed by outsiders.

In addition to the entertainment news, ZhengJun is excellent as always. Although listening music by phone can’t reveal the sense of depth of the music now, ZhengJun’s Wind Horse persists in comforting others with his pure ideal in music. The song also takes Tibetan culture as background but it is not back to Tibet as before. He wants to walk in Tibet.

The song is criticized by peers. They think that a song should be cooperated with company and make itself a magnum opus. Opposite, ZhengJun doesn’t need any more representative works completely now. In 21 years, What he needs is a heart filled with pure music.

No matter what the backgrounds are, an excellent song should be covering composers’ spirit. I believe that the better era of Chinese music is coming with their leading.
